Working in a mailout job now, boring boring, but it pays soooo well! Every hour my mind just goes "Ka-Ching! That's 22 dollars, thank you very much!"

Love the pay in Melbourne...

Can't wait to see you guys (and girls)!! Who will be back at the end of the year? I can make a trip up, probably end of Nov and another one in Jan, might be working for the whole of December, either at a community pharmacy or waitering at Vivo's. Oh joy.

Can't believe we've come to the end of SAM, seems like not too long ago we were just 10 ordinary people in a class called G1... In this short period of time we've grown to know and understand each other better, and forged lasting friendships... Wanna thank you all for the wonderful memories i have of my year in college, it would have been so much less exciting without all of you... Really hope we'll all stay in touch and get to meet each other occasionally, if not often... Will definitely miss you guys a lot!!

YEAH GERMANY! hahahahaha.. oh yea, in case you were wondering.. the post before this was written by Fzv. That uncle couldn't remember his password so used my account. =) anywayz i am SOOOOOOOO HAPPY THAT GERMANY GOT 3rdd. I was practically celebrating like a mad woman in front of the tv at around 5-ish. hahahaha.. =) some even commented that i was celebrating like germany won the world cup. hahaha.. but tt's all right. I love Bastian Schweinsteiger. Don't you? =)

the Man of the match lar! Scored 2+1 goals during the second half. And thanks to PETIT from POrtugal Germany was ahead of Portugal with 3 goals. The last one headed by some Portuguese guy which I shall not care what his name is was unavoidable! hehe.. KAHN played well too! hehe.. =)

Since this blog is pretty much dead, i shall attempt to revive it wif some previews and awards of my own....

PREVIEW - ITALY-FRANCE

Sure sure France has Zinedine Zidane, but the best offense is the best defense. With Fabio Cannavaro anchoring a very strong defensive line comprising of Gattuso, Materazzi and Zambrotta, it'll take a mammoth effort from Zidane to even dribble pass any ONE of them. Considering Henry can only score off passes and the experience-lacking Ribery, France will have difficulties finding a goal. "Italy has no offense.." Enter double T- Toni & Totti. Sure, Totti may be old, but he's not as old as Lilian Thuram, France's dependable stopper. Zambrotta have been active on the offensive end throughout the tournament. And with Andrea Pirlo threading the needles in midfield? Italy 1 - 0 France.

Notable thought: Italy is the only team with 2 defenders(Cannavaro & Zambrotta) and 2 strikers(Totti & Toni) in FIFA's all-start squad, and 7 in total.

ZV WORLD CUP 2006 AWARDS

PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT
This is a tough one, but i think it'll go to the winner of the italy-france finals, which, in my opinion, would be Fabio Cannavaro. Canavaro have been rock solid at defense, anchoring an Italian defense which HAVE ONLY CONCEDED 1 GOAL ALL TOURNAMENT, ironically, an own goal. This means Italy have never allowed an oppponent to score. Zidane have been playing unstoppable football, reviving an old man's team to title contenders with his perfect handle and pin point crosses and passes, ocassionally scoring his own, engaged in a tight race with canavaro for the title, but like i said, it will go to the winner of the finals.

GOLDEN BOOT AWARD
Unless Thierry Henry miraculously scores a hattrick and Klose uncharacteristicly doesnt score against Portugal, this award belongs to Miroslav Klose. Notable thought : If Klose scores a goal against Portugal, and duplicates his output the next world cup, he'd equal Ronaldo as all-time top scorer of the world cup.

BEST OFFENSIVE LINE
Assuming Henry doesn't score in the finals, the top 2 scorers of the world cup in Miroslav Klose & Lucas Podolski takes this award. Podolski may be young and inconsistent, but with Klose consistently drawing 2 defenders and even 3(see germany-sweden), Podolski have all the space he wants to operate.

WORST OFFENSIVE LINE
England's, period. Kudos to Wayne Rooney for trying, boo Erikkson for playing Rooney as the lone striker up front.

BEST DEFENSIVE LINE
Cannavaro-Materrazi-Nesta-Gattuso of Italy. Huge credit to goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. As noted above, this italian defense has only conceded an own goal throughout the tournament, considering France doesnt score against Italy.

BEST GOALKEEPER
This, like player of the tournament, is a close call, but inevitably goes to Gianluigi Buffon. With his 6'4 frame and responses like a spider, he edges out Jens Lehmann for this award.

YOUNG TEAM OF THE FUTURE
Spearheaded by 19 yr old Lionel Messi and 21 yr old Carlos Tevez, Argentina is the team of the future. With possible returns of Maxi Rodiguez, equally young Hernan Crespo and super playmaker Riquelme, Argentina is the team to be reckoned with.

Honourable mentions: Spain. Argentina has Messi, Spain has an even younger Cesc Fabregas. A penetrative midfielder, Fabregas will have plenty of choices to thread the needle for at least another 2 world cups in super strikers Fernando El Nino Torres and David Villa, and full back Sergio Ramos.

BIGGEST FLOP OF THE TOURNAMENT
Ronaldinho hasn't performed like a 2-time World Player of the Year but this is due to Brazil's system, with everyone on the field trying to do too much and not sticking to their roles. Unlike ronaldinho, chelsea's Frank Lampard leads the tournament with shots attempts, but have not scored a single goal, including a heat-breaking penalty miss against Portugal, so this award goes to him.

DIVER OF THE TOURNAMENT
Michael Ballack received serious considerations for this award, but it will come down to Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry. I had half a mind to give it to Henry for falling oh-so-dramatically when he bulldozed into Spain defender Carles Puyol, earning him an undeserved free kick which resulted into a goal, knocking Spain out, until i watched Portugal-France and Germany-Portugal. "Ouch! you broke my nail!" Ronaldo lived up to his "pretty boy" billing, never failing to fall in the penalty box whenever a defender touches his delicate hair or even coming close to him. Guess the defender's momentum coming at him was too much for ms ronaldo to take.

I LOVE HOSPITAL ATTACHMENT!!!!

Well, I hate to admit this!! Sorry DeeDee, I'm having fun for my 5 days hospital attachment! I felt so sorry that u actually felt boring la~~ ha. My attachment is super super fun. My doctor - Dr Foo rocks!! Dr Foo is a gynecologist. Fuuh. His business good like nobody business. =) Believe this or not, he has operation every day!! I mean everyday!!! But, I love it. Haha. Coz he brings me in whenever he does operation. Hey dude, it's not easy for a Pre-U student like me to enter OT [Operating Theater]. I need pass and permission from the hospital. See? That's why I say my doctor rocks... *beam* So far, I witnessed 3 surgeries, 3 mis-carriage cases, 1 natural birth! Upcoming events : 3 surgeries on Thursday and 2 Caesar operations on Friday. Muahaha, me Miss Teh Ren Ee, gonna be bored of surgeries and OT soon!! =)

By the way, everytime I enter OT or meet any other specialists or Dr Foo friends, this will happen!!
Anyone : So, you are the junior doctor who unders Dr Foo now?
Me : *choked* I'm not a doctor!
Anyone : Oh, really? Then u must be a medic student then! Which Uni ur studying now?
Me : *blushed* I'm not a medic student! I'm only a pre-u student.

well i must tell u about the elephant trip. i so hope HE doesn't come to this website.
ok . well u see, ren ee is a very smart girl. seriously!
she sat at the back row of the bus and yea i sat with her. HE came in late to the bus so the only empty seat was.... NEXT TO ME. woohoo! haha.. ok lar, so the bus started the journey to pahang. 1st hour .. HE was singing, doing all those nonsense lar. ok .. haha.. 2nd hour, ren ee and yueen mun ditch. er. no. went to talk to hazirah. so i decided to move to the inner seat cuz i wanted to sleep. then HE asked me "can i sit ere?" while pointing at the seat next to me. "like DER?!" said my heart but on the outside i said "yea.." so for one hour plus i had HE sitting next to me. *angels singing hallelujah*.. haha.. syahriman and ameen kept turning back to give me those i-know-you're-super-happy-where-you-are look. haha.. =D so ok. then we reached the elephant sanctuary. argh. not so good lar i would say 6/10. we just camwhored in there lar. haha.. anywayz yea.. so that was the elephant trip. after that was back to college. same position but different situation. Ren ee started talking to them and somehow we got engaged in this conversation about movies. haha.. pretty cool. his friends and HE and both of us. haha.. his friends are pretty funny lar. seriously. hehe.. then i took the opportunity to intro myself to him and vice versa. *moment of proud-ness* so yea, i had so much fun hehe.. =D

i'm come to this conclusion.

He is very smart. no doubt.
He's quite childish. "ayam kampung!! - village chicks " u get it right?
He reminds me of a small boy.. "the sky crack then turn night. then crack again.."

oh my gawd, i am like sooo happy.
mid term exams have just finished. oh my. i like so can't believe this.

HAHA..

today was a super fun day. after exams, we went to 1 utama! yay! me, zhi ven, xin yu, adeline and ren ee. first thing was to eat. haha.. dear adeline sooo hungry. hehe.. so went to kfc. then this we spotted this chinese guy who always likes to say "assalamualaikum" when he picks up the phone with his girlfriend! all of us just watch from a distance but "smart" zhi ven had to rushhh to him and greet him. haha.. kidding lar! hehe.. so yea walked around for a while with two couples trailing the singles. hehe.. did so much of shopping but bought nothing much for myself. damn. aiya wtv lar. can always go again. so yea, we departed at 3 or so to go our own ways and guess what? i survive the taxi trip home by myself! yeah! i'm a survivor. i'm gonna make it. i'm a survivor. keep on surviving! hehehehe.. u have to agree the you've heard a lot of snatch thief cases in your life right. I, Esther Tan, am definitely ultimately scared of them. when walking on the streets, i tend to keep my bag far away from where the motocyclist can grab it. fine. so today, i walked into college. suddenly wanted to check my phone so i did lar. suddenly someone TUGGED my bag. shoot. first instinct told me it was a snatch thief. wah... i seriously thought of performing some stunts like whacking the guy's head with my hp, chasing him and grab my bag.. but when i turn around, it was only... zhi ven.. >.< shucks! scared me! hehe.. oh well.. =D

I strongly truly and deeply think that students of G1 are now under a Pre-Exam Syndrome. Everyone is EXCEPTIONALLY happy. Even Mr Yap noticed that we are gigling and laughing for the whole hour. Fuiyo. But I personally think that Miss Dee and Miss Esther Tan are the severe patients among 10 of us. Fuuh. Guess what they did today during LAN Moral Studies? ----- UMBRELLA FIGHT !! I feel like screaming out all the f*** words now. PLs allow me to shout here " stupid idiot you, !@#$%^&*! Simply change my piano exam time! you spoilt my plan!!!!!!
Story go like that, i changed my piano teacher to my cousin this year since it is my final year, n to give an opportunity for my cousin. Since my cousin is a new teacher, he couldn't get to register for me for the Grade 8 piano exam. When he finally could, my younger sister plus my good buddy piano teacher had already register for me. OK fine then.. I told her that i want my exam to be in August and she said fine, she register August for me. I admit that i'm those who only will work hard when exam is near. So my plan was after finish the mid term exam, i will concentrate on my piano exam.
However, just now i got a message from my younger sister piano teacher, my piano exam is set on 19th of JUNE!!! I felt like crying and really shouting out all the f*** words for the 1st time. Man! I'm not ready yet u c, i tot i stil have 3 months to work on. N on 3 months time, i believe i can do it! But is now only left one month, and the mid year exam is going to be the main thing for the whole May, and my mom already fixed the one week holiday trip to China on the school holiday!!! I have no time to practice anymore, not even to the most simple okay standard. NOt even get the feel of the songs..
OMG!!! i really want to cry lar if my parents n cousin is not in the house. I already stress like mad coz of the assigment and mid year exam. N this news is like a strike on me, n i feel like dying.
N really shit her that she change my piano exam date. I really hate her!!! She spoilt my plan. The worst thing is i still have to face her every weekend bcoz of my younger sister lesson. My goodness, i can't guarantee i will be nice to her. coz i don even agree with her teaching method since she start teaching my younger sister. OH God!! I really felt so stress now.. except cry i really duno wat can i do anymore.

Fuuh. Got back my Maths result today. *sigh* I thought I did quite ok until I asked Desmond and Chun Wah what marks they got. Chun Wah scored >95 and Desmond....... scored 100%. Perfect Score. 100%. OMG. He is really a genius la. So, from now on, I wanna work hard. I wanna study hard. I wanna practice more.... I wanna do well in Mid Term Exam. Go Go Go. Everyone. We can do it. TER >90....!!!! =)

Phew~ Finally left only Biology and Physic assigment! Sigh... but mid year exam is coming so soon!!! Only left two weeks! Crazy, don't even have time to take a breath. Those people who initiate this programme is definitely making a joke on the students. How could they just set the due date of assigment during the weeks of examination?? The duration between one examination to another is so near!! No wonder the students also get mad. SAM must be stand for "Stress And Mad" for all the students in SAM programme. Human, life in SAM is really tough. Can't imagine the life in SAM without this geng of crazy and stress people..hehe.. jk.. got stress but not crazy la~~
Stressful life make me fat... Is true!!! EAT is one of the method to destress for me. Coz when eating, you won't think of the homework and assigment that is like a mountain on your study desk. Ice-cream , chocolate, n tea time.. the best moment on the earth.
Coz of this SAM, i can't go out to play basketball anymore.. Man, i really miss basketball :(

i finally handed up my esl project and now i am so free of it! yay! hehe..
had a sleepless night as most of u know.. did my project from 3pm till 5.30am the next morning!
then i had only half an hour to catch a 100 winks before i had to get ready to catch the bus..
oh.. but surprisingly i felt quite awake after catching 200 more winks on the bus. hehe.. =D
oh so we handed up our project today. such a nice feeling..
arghy-boo-boo. went for lunch with my dear mommy who came all the way to subang to pick me up. awwww.. =D
well she doesn't know about desmond getting 100% for maths. i just had like the biggest shock on earth. no, seriously.
haha.. shucks man. there's something weird going on. you see right.. i was typing typing my esl presentation when suddenly the electricity got cut off. *moment of ultimate shockness* the moment the lights got on again, quickly on comp again.. luckily i could recover the document. omg. so happy. =D =D =D
anywayz i posted something just now dunno why it didn't come out. owhhh.. i know! i pressed save as draft instead of publish post! shoot. sorries. hehe.. =D well today ar. there was this super-chuned-monotonous-pavarotti-sounding-voice guy! fuuh.. Arggghhhh!! Wanna scream right now! First, i wasn't feeling well, ended up sleeping for an hour till 7.30 pm, and my stomach isn't too good. Had 20 minutes to shove all my dinner down by throat then come to college to print out my English report. And now the bloody printer isn't working! Thank god there's another one, which EVERYONE is using now, causing a major queue since there's oh more than half the computers being used by people like me...
